Meet John Williams.
I met John in 96 during the Ann Peebles record "Fill This World With Love". As soon as I heard him I knew we ad to use him on the record. He was Al Green's bassist for a number of years. Now John has the group A-440 with Guitarist Harold Smith and is in the studio with Otis Redding III finishing up on a recording project with the group as well. Should be awesome.

Meet Skip Johnson.
One of the baddest Funk/Rock Bass players on the planet. Met in the winter of 84. Skip had an all black Funk/Rock band out of Memphis called Xavion. The band got a deal on Asylum, toured with Hall & Oats and then broke up but not before I got the chance to play with him. Skip and I instantly vibed making for some Killer Tours and have been great friends every since. Hope you get to catch him live.

Meet Leroy Hodges.
(Original Bass Player for the Legendary Hi Rhythm Section)
Man This brother is reason for "all the bottom end you hear on "all those Al Green, Ann Peebles Hits and over half the music coming out of Memphis today. First time we met was during the Ann Peebles world tour. I had come to fill in for another friend of mine, Charles Hodges. We've done some pretty incredible tours and records together since then plus half my wardrobe is supplied by him.

Meet Bassist Dewayne Thomas.
During the mid and late 70's up until he moved to Italy in 96' Dewayne was the man. Aside from being a member of the Bar-Kays and The Coolers, he played on nearly everything that came out of Memphis, that is as long as it had Funk attached to it. Let's see, it was during 86' when Dewayne, Drummer Steve Potts and Guitar player Nikos Lyras formally introduced me to what Funk and Pocket was really all about. Once you got him to show up it was on until you dropped. I still try and spread those vibes where ever I go to whoever I play with these days.

Meet Bassist/Producer Randy Middleton a.k.a. Ran Man.
Bassist for Ann Peebles and King Daddy and the Boogie Children Randy is like the spirit of Donald "Duck" Dunn with a scorching layed back pocket all his own which is no wonder he toured for years behind Soul Legend Ann Peebles and Played on virtually all the tracks on the Soulful rock album by The Motherstation . When we met, He was actually playing guitar (and great) and I had this Jazz Fusion group Destroy All Monsters. But all it took was one sub gig on bass and the rest shall we say is Soulful History. Thanks for some awesome tours Bro.
Meet Jimmy Kinard a.k.a. Quiet Storm
OK, so I just made that up but that's about the best way to describe Jimmy. You never know he's sneaking up on you until it's too late, and you're hypnotized by a title wave of Soul, Funk 'and Vibe until Jimmy cuts you lose. He's played behind so many artist and on so many records I'd need another Site just to name them all but among them are Isaac Hayes, Ann Peebles, AL Green, Percy Sledge, Eddie Floyd and Rufis Thomas. We met in '97 during The Poretta Sweet Soul Festival and I can say is thanx my Brotha for the vibes in the past.
You Brotha Paul
